About WovenCare

Advocacy shaped by lived experience, dignity, and care

WovenCare Advocacy Services is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to standing with individuals and families during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. We provide trauma-informed advocacy, healthcare navigation, and community-based support for people facing sudden medical crises, chronic health challenges, and systemic barriers to care.

Who We Are

Rooted in compassion and real experience

Founded by survivor and patient advocate Kenya Moorer, WovenCare was born out of lived experience with medical trauma and the gaps that exist in traditional healthcare systems. Our work is grounded in compassion, dignity, and a deep respect for the stories of those we serve.

Who We Serve

Communities too often left to navigate alone

  • Women and girls of color navigating complex or traumatic medical events.
  • Individuals and families in under-resourced communities.
  • Survivors of medical trauma who need long-term validation and guidance, not just short-term discharge instructions.
What We Do

Support that makes systems more understandable and humane

We walk alongside individuals and families who are navigating:

  • Sudden, life-threatening medical events such as ruptured or dissected aortic aneurysms, heart attacks, strokes, and other emergencies.
  • Complex health decisions where information is overwhelming and support is limited.
  • Barriers to equitable care in historically underserved and marginalized communities.

Our services include education, advocacy, resource navigation, and community outreach designed to make healthcare more understandable, humane, and accessible.
